❞ كتاب Bioinformatics and Molecular Evolution ❝

نبذه عن الكتاب:

Degree programs in bioinformatics at Masters or
undergraduate level are becoming increasingly
common and single courses in bioinformatics and
computational biology are finding their way into
many types of degrees in biological sciences. This
book satisfies a need for a textbook that explains the
scientific concepts and computational methods of
bioinformatics and how they relate to current
research in biological sciences. The content is based
on material taught by both authors on the MSc program in bioinformatics at the University of Manchester, UK, and on an upper level undergraduate
course in computational biology taught by P. Higgs
at McMaster University, Ontario.
Many fundamental concepts in bioinformatics,
such as sequence alignments, searching for homologous sequences, and building phylogenetic trees, are
linked to evolution. Also, the availability of complete
genome sequences provides a wealth of new data for
evolutionary studies at the whole-genome level, and
new bioinformatics methods are being developed
that operate at this level. This book emphasizes the
evolutionary aspects of bioinformatics, and includes
a lot of material that will be of use in courses on
molecular evolution, and which up to now has not
been found in bioinformatics textbooks

Biologically

Biology is a natural science that is concerned with the study of life, its various forms and its function, how these organisms interact with each other and with the surrounding environment. The word biology in Greek is made up of two words: bio (βίος) meaning life. And loggia (-λογία) means science or study. Biology: the similarity of vegetation and animal cover on the edges of the African and American states, and the existence of the same fossil.

Branches of biology
Biology is an ancient science thousands of years old and modern biology began in the nineteenth century. This science has multiple branches. Among them are:

Anatomy
Botany
Biochemia
Biogeography
Biofisia
Cytology or cell science
Ecology or environmental science
