Three-dimensional imaging (3D imaging) is an imaging method that records a stereoscopic description of an object. This method mimics the work of the eyes. The eyes are two images from two slightly different angles of the visual object due to the difference in the distance between the eyes, and the eyes send the two images to the brain where the two images are merged, so the thing appears in front of us in stereo, that is, we can estimate the depth of the person or tree in the image, as well as estimate the near and far. With one eye, we cannot determine the depth or distance of visible objects.

A two-lens camera is used for 3D imaging, and the imaging process is done as usual, but in every shot it captures two images, one from the relatively right and the other from the north relative to the subject we are photographing. To view the hologram, the right image is viewed with the right eye and the left eye is seen at the left image (placing an obstacle between the two images may facilitate this viewing process). The eyes and brain automatically compose the stereoscopic image, and make a stereoscopic image to us.

Cinema and some photographs resorted to substituting two images placed next to each other for stereoscopic photography, by registering the two images in two complementary colors on the same image (see photo). In order to see the holograms in the cinema, for example, the viewer wears two-color glasses (red and scarlet). Thus, the right eye sees the right image, the left eye the left image, and the anthropomorphic imagination is realized.

In the cinema, the spectator must wear special glasses in order to get the impression of holograms. And this method was invented in 1953 for the first time when it photographed double images in red and blue, and used glasses worn by the viewer with slides red and blue. The eye that sees through the red slide sees only the blue image, and on the contrary, the eye that sees through the blue slide sees the red image only, and in the brain the two images are mixed and the images appear stereoscopic.
