عبد الله العروي - عبد الله العروي (1933، أزمور) مؤرخ وروائي مغربي. مسيرته تلقى تعليمه في العاصمة المغربية الرباط وتابع تعليمه العالي في فرنسا في جامعة السوربون وفي معهد الدراسات السياسية بالعاصمة الفرنسية باريس.

حصل سنة 1956 على شهادة العلوم السياسية وعلى شهادة الدراسات العليا في التاريخ سنة 1958 ثم على شهادة التبريز في الإسلاميات عام 1963.

وفي سنة 1976 قدم أطروحة بعنوان "الأصول الاجتماعية والثقافية للوطنية المغربية: 1830-1912" وذلك لنيل دكتوراه الدولة من السوربون.
